Any school that has a Board Member who openly advocates fags and queers to kill themselves - as this one does - is totally unacceptable.

I do not live in the school district, but I proudly send my children (3) to Midland. The community and parents are more involved than any district I have ever seen. For the most part, the staff, faculty, and community, are christian oriented. We are christians, and I am thankful that there are God loving people leading my children. It is the parents who volunteer at every school function, not the advocates that parade in front of the school when they find an opportunity to jump on a soapbox. If you want a community and teaching staff who whole-heartedly care for your child, then this is the school for your child.

I love midland schools but the superintendent is not out for our children. Our academic programs have went down hill, the chrome books have made some of our teachers lazy and our high school kids are struggling terribly. The elementary on the other hand is fabulous. The teachers really care about our kids and try to do as much one on one time with each kid as they possibly can. Everyone is on a first name basis with parents, if there is a problem the teachers will text you immediately. It was once that way with the high school but I`m not happy with the new crop of teachers. Calling kids idiots and bullying our children is just not ok with me.
