Rickman Elementary has a superb faculty. The teachers and staff are hard-working and really care about the students. The teachers use a wide variety of programs to make sure that all student needs are met. They offer band, art, and several sports programs, especially basketball.

My son has an eye condition that interferes with his ability to learn . I have always had trouble trying to get anyone to believe he has an eye condition that causes his problems and that it is not add/ADHD. I am shocked by the fact that all they want to believe is that children who can' t focus or pay attention in class have ADD/ADHD and need to be medicated. Medication can't fix my child's eye disorder. If you have a similar problem try looking up covd(center of vision and development) on the internet. There are eye disorders that can cause symptoms similar to ADD/ADHD or take your child to an eye doctor for a developmental eye exam.

Bullying is not dealt with at this school. Some teachers have bully attitudes toward kids, and my children were also bullied by other students. Teachers were notified and the problem continued. Would take my children elsewhere..
