My husband and I have 4 children ranging in age from 12-22 all 3 years apart. Our son graduated from THS in 2011, our daughter is a senior this year and will be class of 2014. We have another daughter that will be graduating Toledo in 2018 and lastly our son that is in 8th grade there now will be graduating in 2020. To say the least our family has moved to this area for the school. My husband has worked for the mill in town for many years, but until our kids got older we did not realize the importance of what a few miles could change in a school. When they were smaller they went to a local charter school in Siletz, but as they got older ( 6-7th grade) we were realizing that they were not getting the education, social stimulation and support they needed to make it in the world. When we toured Toledo high the staff, the students and the overall feel of the school was one of the most welcoming I have ever seen. Including my schools as a student. I knew then that this was the school all of my kids would be graduating from. Had I of kept them where they were, I honestly cant say even with all our support that they would have graduated with the grades and the knowledge that they did. I am not only proud of them, but thankful to the school in keeping them engaged and always striving to make a better future for our world. So, yes- I highly recommend Toledo Jr/Sr High School. The staff have become friends of mine over the years, and between sports and all the extra curricular activities- they defiantly not only keep our kids active but us as parents as well.
